Officer Christopher Dorner, who had no prior police encounters with Los Angeles residents, was fired from the police force in April after an angry search and allegedly burning his way through the department for three days. Dorner was the subject of widespread speculation about his motive in killing two people and injuring several others at three different locations, including his ex-girlfriend's house. Police believe Dorner shot and killed Monica Quan, 32. Dorner said he fired into a window and was attempting to make a break for it. Quan's daughter also told reporters that her mother was dating Dorner and had called police before she was killed. On Tuesday, in interviews aired three Los Angeles television stations, Dorner told the same interviewer that he was black and African-American. "In my heart, I still have that black and white skin," Dorner told NBC2.
